Following is the setup that I had worked seamless, (A) Dell Latitude laptop connected wireless to the DIR-655. (B) Brother Printer MFC-5860CN connected to router through ethernet card. Everything worked excellent. I  was able to print from the Brother printer wirelessly.

Here comes the trouble  :o , I had given my old laptop back and bought a new Dell Latitude E6500. And when I tried to print from the laptop, the Brother printer panel displays "Receiving Data" for a 2 seconds and goes mute. Nothing is been printed. Just to verify, I connected the laptop to printer via USB and I was able to print fine.
Didnt know what is that I am missing. Any help is greatly appreciated.  ::)

BTW, I called DELL & Brother support with no luck. The moment I was able to print using USB they said nothing wrong with the laptop config or the Printer hardware.

Check all software firewall setting as you need to permit the Brother "software" bi-directional access thru it.

You really need to check your printer driver settings or update your driver. It seems you have the wrong protocol selected for an IP printer.
