here's the log as requested and I managed to get video of what I meant by when it's lagging.

https://www.dropbox.com/home?preview=Arris+log.html

Link is dead for me. And I think those logs will hold the key.

Video is very interesting. That would have been impossible to explain otherwise, thank you very much. First thing I noticed, IP did not change between release and renewal and IP is a public. Second, the first speed test seemed to take a abnormal time selecting the correct server, but then show low latency to that server. Third, this is a rather specific problem that I have found evidence happening using different modems, routers and computers, and only commonality was ISP. See post here. 4th, when I called VyveBB there was literally an announcement every 3 seconds that they are having problems in OK area.

Question: What is data at 1m14s?

Hypothesis:  Severe routing problems at the ISP level that either by fluke happened at same time as firmware upgrade, or firmware upgrade changed way router talks to modem (gateway) in some way. Maybe releasing and renewing resets the routing table they have for the MAC of your gateway in the CMTS, but they would have to be using some funky code. Have your tried setting your IP to static? Just use all the same settings as DHCP gives you. If this doesn't fix the problem, then you know for SURE it's ISP side.

Update: Did this problem start 3/31 to 4/1? If so, could be related to the Cox Analog/Digital transition that took place on during that time in OK and caused some problems. Maybe the connections between Cox and your ISP changed? Not that it matters, but more evidence issue is on ISP side.

Fixed.
https://www.vgchat.us/Arris-log.html

This kind of behaviour has been going on for well over a year and a half now, ever since they took over allegiance.tv in shawnee.  AFAIK, I'm assigned a static IP address.

Also, I this behavior seems to happen with either the Cisco/Linsys or the D-Link router, so it probably is pretty safe to count those off, especially with how new the d-link router is, maybe a few month's old at best.

And yes fuzzy, this isn't limited to one device... We use:
1 laptop
1 desktop
2 android phones
1 android tablet
and when it goes out, everything experiences the kind of lag shown in that video.

Usually just unplug/replug the modem/router, cross fingers & hope it works.. but yeah I've been living with it like this since vyve took over, over a year or so ago, the only other option is att with their 700Kbps dsl...

The last time I called and got a tech, they blamed congestion as the cause & claimed to have fixed it, that was 3 month's ago and it made no noticable difference.

"RCS Partial Service"
A modem is in a partial service mode of operation any time it is operating with a subset of the channels in the Receive Channel Set (RCS) and/or Transmit Channel Set (TCS) because a channel has become unusable, either due to an inability to acquire a channel or because communication on a channel was lost during normal operation.

I hate to say it, but I almost wonder if you would be better with a DOCSIS 2.0 modem. Noise on upstream hindering upstream channel bonding. But seriously..your ISP....they need to die with fire. Then again I quit Cox for some of the same reasons and conditions your experiancing so, I don't have a leg to stand on. LOL. Fun post. Later everyonezzzzzz  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Seems like this is a ISP issue.

One thing you can try, take the 810L to a friend or families place. See if the problem follows. I presume It may not. Something as a last report test.

Finally got a response from them yesterday.  They blame maintenance, hopefully installing/upgrading lines.

Check the ISP services again. Seems like if it was working for the past few days, then something happened again...
