Hi,
due to bad DSL performance I have migrated from an ASUS DSL-modem&router to D-LINK DSL-2750U (updated firmware to ME_1.03).
Wifi is working fine and DSL performance has improved (yeah!). But: I cannot reach my Synology Diskstation file server connected on the Ethernet ports. Itīs set up for DHCP and I have reset the network settings etc. on the Diskstation - all without success. And if i go back to the Asus router I can immediately connect again so itīs a clearn router issue.
It appears as if the device connected on the Ethernet port is completely invisible, canīt ping, canīt connect via webinterface, canīt find via the Synology installation assistant that scans the network. Iīve downloaded and installed 2 network scanners on my Mac -> diskstation doesnīt show up...
Strangely enough: the diskstation appears in the list of DHCP clients (Status / DHCP Clients) and gets assigned an IP address! I have also tried to give it a fixed one, no success. Router LED shows green light for connection and also Diskstation LAN status is green.
Setup / Network / "Configure the second IP Address and Subnet Mask for LAN" is disabled (was enabled by default, thought I had it but no success either)
Any help appreciated, I really need that file server and would hate to go back to my crappy Asus DSL connection
