I have an A1 version of this router and just lick everyone else I am experiencing the lockup and random reboot issues. It became unbearable so I went and bought a Linksys WRT54GL and put DD-WRT on it so I could at least get close to the same functionality as my DGL-4500. I have been following the forum and waiting for a firmware fix but as everyone knows it hasn't happened yet. I decided yesterday that I would try out the new firmware 1.21NA and see how its coming along (last I loaded was 1.15) So I reset the router loaded the firmware and I know it probably seems dumb but I decided to disable the wireless to test how it runs (I know defeats the purpose of a wireless router but it seems to work). I disabled wireless, made a DHCP reservation for my Desktop and Xbox 360, disabled gamerfuel, unchecked enable SPI, and then wired up my network which consist of two 360s, two PC's, my HDTV, and gigabyte switch. It hasn't been down for 8hrs and 7min which is far longer than anytime I have experienced since I left firmware 1.02. I am going to test wireless up time and such when I get back from my 4th of July trip but just though I would put my 2 cents in to see if it helps to solving this issue any. If the lock ups and reboots were thought to be caused by an overload on the hardware wouldn't it be the same with all these items running on a wired network as opposed to a wireless. I'm no expert but I'm sure the how this router doesn't get the best airflow doesn't help with the lockups. The only other issue I am having is the streaming of media from Windows Media Player to the Xbox 360s works fine with my linksys but when I plugged my D-link back in Media Player sees the Xbox I can add it but when I go to the Xbox and connect to PC it doesn't find my PC. I use McAfee Antivirus and Firewall and UPnP and windows media and streaming is all allowed nothing changed from when it was working except the routers being switched any ideas?
Hope This Helps,
RC
