UPnP Port Forward Disable
« on: June 11, 2015, 12:51:27 AM »

Dear All,

Have you realized that DNS-327L NAS forwards the standard ports to itself on your UPnP enabled router? I mean 80 and 443 is routed to the NAS and 22 also if backup service is enabled (aka. ssh). I double checked in my router and it shows these ports are forwarded via UPnP.

I couldn't find any option to disable this "feature" (what is more like a bug and security hole for me) so I disabled the UPnP in my router. I have the latest 1.03b3 FW on my NAS.

BR,

uPnP and Port Forwarding are not bud or security problems. uPnP has been fixed in regards to security issues seen on routers. uPnP Port forwarding is not recommended for use with all connected cameras and especially for D-Link cloud cameras.
