I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I own two 327Ls, tried all firmwares from 1.4 to 1.6b2, still getting 'expired password' and can't ssh in.
I have contacted the regional D-Link support and they have answered "the ssh client PTTY provides you with the solution of the issue that is not due to a NAS issue!" To be honest I do not understand what they would like to mean with such answer ?!? In fact the PUTTY simply says:
'WARNING: Your password has expired.
You must change your password now and login again!
passwd: No such file or directory'
Therefore the un-useful suggestion from the ssh client is to change the password and login again. This is exactly what I did (changed the password with the NAS management web page for the admin account - the only one allows for ssh access), but the issue with ssh access is not fixed. Instead I see that the ssh client says 'passwd: No such file or directory' and, in my opinion, it looks like that the password management script of the NAS software package is not where it should be or the executable attribute is not correctly set. Or am I wrong?
