Don't know exactly how to set up this option, now my cam recording only last 4 hours, don't know how this happen and recording files only 34seconds not 1min as I would like to. Any solution ? Thanks

A couple of notes:

1.  Recording length is partially determined by the video quality settings you pick in Setup > Audio and Video.  Then you can also tweak the length of each recording or the file size limit in Setup > Event Setup > Recording Settings.  As an example of how these two things work together, if you specify a recording file size of 10 MB, and then max out the video quality settings (resolution, frame rate, etc.) for each recording, each 10 MB file will "hold" a shorter length of video than it would with lower-quality video settings.  You have to tweak the two things to get the combination that balances out things as you would like.

2.  The 2332L has had a serious bug regarding continuous recording.  You are supposed to be able to specify a "cycling recording size" (Setup > Event Setup > Recording Settings) that is the total number of MB the camera will record before deleting the oldest files to make new space for new ones.  This is intended to keep your storage (SD card, HDD, whatever) from filling up.  Unfortunately, this limiting function has never worked.  Regardless of what you set the limit to, the camera will just keep recording new files until your storage is filled up, or until it hits the limit and stops recording (I can't remember which).  As far as I know, this bug is still not fixed, at lest through US firmware 1.03.06.  This means you will have to manually delete files from your SD card every so often (probably every day or even more often depending on your settings) or the camera will stop recording new video due to full storage.  This may be an explanation for why your camera is only recording 4 hours of video.

Brilliant answer M8! Now I do understand why my device stop recording at night. (My recent firmware is 1.05.06) You already highlighted my issue!
I had already tried various options with settings and still the same problem with it!  The question is, when D-Link will do something with this bug???? Thanks again for You quick reply!

What cmontyburns said is right, but if you use SD card you can overcome that problem in:
Mydlink.com > Settings > More Settings > When SD card is full

My configuration:

Continuous recording to SD card:
Profile1
Mode:H.264
Frame size and View window area: 1280x800
Maximum frame rate: 7
Constant bit rate: 2M
Size of each file for recording: 50 Mbytes
Total cycling recording size: 31200 (BUG this option don't work, as cmontyburns said)

Motion detection:
Profile2
Snapshot: JPEG
Frame size and View window area: 1280x800
Quality: Excellent
Send 7 post-event images (with date and time suffix) to Networkstorage (USB pen attached to router)

With this configuration I have 36Hours of good video on SD card, and limitless snapshots of motions detected, organized by folders with date and hours.

I achieved this configuration by spending hours/days/months of trying every single option

I have a schedule reboot every day at morning and still have 1.03.06 firmware

Good information, thanks.  I don't use MyDlink so I wasn't aware of this.  Shame they won't just fix it on the camera itself.

How doesn't support ? In case we have problems? I have continuous recording on SD..

In january I had a problem with a cheap SD card (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=59617), I bought an good SD card, Samsung MicroSDHC UHS-I 32GB Class 10 (EVO or PRO, i don't remember) and since then, didn't had problems with continuous recording on SD.. (8 Months and counting.. :) )

But depends on what user wants, almost 2 days of continuous recordings (good quality) and months of snapshots on the network storage works for me

Yes, no problem.

This is the configuration for the snapshots triggered by motion and saved to a USB pen attached to my router (192.168.1.1, no authentication needed, only accessed in my intranet)

STEP1 - AUDIO AND VIDEO > VIDEO PROFILE 2

STEP2 - EVENT SETUP > SERVER

STEP3 - EVENT SETUP > MEDIA

STEP4 - EVENT SETUP > EVENT

DONE  8)
