Need help with using DIR655 as access point

Trying to setup DIR655 as access point.  However, when I connect ethernet cable from 655 to my computer I can't seem to connect via 192.168.0.1.

Tried setting router but no luck.  Can someone please help?

Did you follow the information here on how to set it up? Turning a router into an AP.
If you made the IP address change for the routers IP address, then you need to connect to the new IP address, not the default old on.
