Issue with My Surveillance
« on: September 14, 2015, 09:48:44 AM »

Hello

I am using:
DNS-327L with latest firmware version 1.05 (same problem with version 1.04)
Add-on: My surveillance with latest firmware 2.04 (same problem with 2.03)

Issue: my surveillance app can detect my new DCS-5222l ip camera (version B1, with latest firmware), however it can't display the image and hence I'm unable to record any video to the NAS.

I tried 2 different combinations of firmware on both NAS and camera side. None worked.

I tried to set manual Ip address and confirm DNS server is assigned (my usual method is to reserve Ip address base on Mac address), but still didn't work.

Error message is "Failed to get camera image".

Any idea?

Additional info:

both NAS and IP camera are always on a fix IP address. I set the IP address on 2 different methods - but both methods FAILED to get the camera talking to the NAS. The 2 methods are:
1. reserve the IP addresses and assign them according to MAC address
2. set the IP addresses manually on both NAS and IP Cam

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email or FB> https://www.facebook.com/mydlink?fref=ts.
Let us know how it goes please.

Hi,

Thanks. I'll do just that.

I did call them once - put on hold as they review my case (1st time around 8 min, 2nd time around 5 min). After reading my case, they told me that the issue has been escalated and someone will call in 24 hour. Unfortunately, none did.

Did you get a case number?
What region are you located?
Call back with the case number...it may take sometime.
