Hey!
I've got the weirdest issue. My Dlink DIR-845L has worked flawlessly for the past year. I have had Macs, PCs, phones, tablet, game consoles and media hardware connected to it on a daily basis without a problem. But now I got a Macbook Air from work and it has the ability to terminate my Internet connection. I have no idea how and why and it seems to be very random in when it does. For instance, using an extension in Safari may cause it, clickin***ouTube link embedded on a website may cause it, connecting to a different computer over remote desktop, starting an online session in a game, opening a specific website... Basically, I can surf the web for any length of time (seriously, anything from 30 seconds to 2 hours before any issues), then there's that one random thing that does it. If I go into the router settings and release/renew the IP, I get an Internet connection again. I can surf and do whatever for as long as I want but if I redo that one thing that killed it this time, I have no Internet again. Thus I can recreate the issue how many times I want. Also, if I try to do that one thing AGAIN later, say an hour later, it will NOT kill my Internet connection. Time seems to heal all wounds...
When I say "kill my Internet connection" I mean that none of my devices will have Internet connection.
When Internet goes down, I can't find anything in the router settings that indicates any issues with the Internet connection (please point me to where that would be).
Ive tried:
* Rebooting the device.
* Resetting the router.
* Updating the firmware.
* Switching between 2,4 and 5 GHz.
These issues ONLY happen with this one computer. This computer has not shown any similar issues on a different wifi.
Any ideas?
