DIR 615 as client-Repeater
« on: November 30, 2015, 09:26:05 AM »

I can use the WLAN from my neighbour. Now I want tu use a repeater with which I can receive the WLAN. then the repeater should make a new WLAN with different SSID in a different new subnet. So I get a new seperated WLAN. I don't want Bridge Mode. So far I could understand the manual from the DIR 615 it only support bridge-mode. Does anyone know wether it also supports Client-Mode with new WLAN with DD_WRT Firmware?

It does not.

Bridge Mode vs Relay vs Access Point (AP) / Routers vs Dedicated Access Points (AP)

I recommend you refer to the DD-WRT forums for help and information regarding there FW.

Good Luck.
