I have a DIR-850L wireless router with hardware Version A1 FW 1.13WW that worked fine with the exception of the range and thus I purchased 2x DAP-1650 configured as Access Point. My house has wired Ethernet in every room and thus to get all the outlets switched we use 2x GO-SW-8G and one GO-SW-5G next to the router. Everything seemed to work fine till we added some PoE cameras that required me to purchase a d-link DGS-1008P that was directly connected to the DIR-850L. At first we had to continually reset the router, but now have turned off a bunch of stuff on the cameras to the point they now seem stable with the router. The only open issue I have is that once a night my daughters will ask me to reboot the router in order to watch YouTube or Netflix or Snap Chat on her iphone 5S or old Toshiba laptop. They can still iMessage and use other basic internet surfing features. I thought it was a DNS issue so I have changed them to several different servers but it doesn't solve the problem. Also of interest is that many times they can walk to the other AP and the apps seem to work and then stop working when they are back by the DIR-850L. They have iPhone 5S without AC so they can pick the 5 or 2.4 Ghz signal on the N network. So when they don't get internet I go in with my iPhone 6 that has AC and it works fine, even on YouTube. Last thing I will mention is that the home network always works and they can log on the router to reboot it. They also have an app called SpeedSmart that they use when it is down and they get full speed. After checking they have Wi-Fi, Wan and LAN connections and changing the DNS on their iPhone I finally give up and reboot the router and then they are able to get full access to all their video apps. So I am really stumped as to why they are having this problem. Called D-Link and the guy basically said routers can get tired and rebooting every night seems to be a workable solution.
