How hot should a DCS-2630L run
« on: February 22, 2016, 12:28:01 PM »

I have had my 2630L running now for a few days and it is warm to the touch, is this normal, all other Dlink cameras are cold.

Also how many 2630L can you run at the same time, can I set up 2 or more on the same router.

Thanks Bob

Very hot. I've measured 110f.  I wouldn't put it near a fire source or drapes or anything.  The 960l runs hotter.
I imagine turning off infrared would save a few degrees.

More than likely it's the sensor. And cpu processing to dewarp the image and write solid 30fps to sd card/streaming too.

Thanks I was getting worried that it had a problem. I have the IR sensors turned off as this camera is in a darkened room and I have motion sensors that turn on lights if someone enters. I am going to take a long trip and have shutters that close and darken the room. I can use the IR if I need to check on the room while traveling.

Thanks Bob
