HTTP Error when uploading using MY FILES

I have installed DNS-320L and registered in MyDlink. When I try to upload a file over the internet using My Files application in Mydlink (Firefox browser), the file starts uploading, but when it reaches 100%, HTTP Error appears and the process fails. I have tried to upload different files, so it is not a matter of size or file type. Some help please!

Since the My Files application appears to be only for use between your computer and the NAS on your LOCAL network it is not surprising it does not work over the internet.

If you need to transfer files over the internet then you need an FTP client on your remote unit and a user with a username and strong password on your NAS.

We communicate between our various NAS boxes at the office by using JFTP on laptops and AndFTP or ES File Explorer (depending on need) on our Android tablets

Hi, i have a dns 320 L since one year ago, i use it frequently via ShareCenter to upload my files and it works perfect. Tow days ago i install an firmware update, when donde i try to use it as i normally do, but when i try to upload using MY FILES i got the same error: after 100% -> HTTP error. Im accusing via local ip, as i did during the last year. Can you help me plz

Did you restore your settings after you changed the firmware?  New firmware sets all the user settings back to the state they were when the unit left the factory.

Are you sure about that? I'm asking out of curiosity since I recently upgraded my firmware and it seems to me like all my settings are still intact.

Thank you.  It appears that there is a difference between the 320L and the old 320.  When we updated some of our old 320 boxes years ago we had to restore the settings from the backup of them we made before the update.

Edit: Even if they are retained it always helps to check they have remained as set (there is nothing worse than chasing a fault for ages all because you never checked the obvious).

Thanks, but the same 100%-->HTTP Error appears when I upload a file to NAS within my local network. Also in the help column of Share Center/My files it says:

What firmware version are you using at the moment?

You might have to revert back to the firmware version that worked.

Note: Unless a firmware update fixed some bug in a system or adds a required feature it is better to leave a working system alone.  Newer does not necessarily mean better - it can have bugs that show up on some systems.
