Recording to my PC instead of the SDXC card?
« on: March 02, 2016, 11:15:37 AM »

Wondering if there is a way to record the video from the camera to my PC's hard drive rather than to the internal SDXC card or an external video recorder?

I bought and installed 64 gb SDXC card but it doesnt hold enough video for me to be useful......

I did see some reference to what I thought would do that in the advanced setup but I couldnt figure it out.

64 gb card worked?  I'll have to test that out.  I figured 32 gb was max.

What is "useful" length of recording to you?

64gb should get you a couple days of recording in 720p mode.  You could turn down the frame rate and get more.  Or even go in 480p mode.

If you are looking for days/weeks - you have to go external..

There is also this "cheap" option -- http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-Camera-Recorder-mydlink-Enabled-DNR-202L/dp/B00F0R9V76/

You will need to verify if the 5222lb camera works with it.  I have no experience and can't say that it does with proof.  Just trying to suggest other options.
