how to register their free dns

hello guys can you help me on how to register their free dns so that i can access my router trough   online and can port forward. i don't have receipt  anymore of this device because its been a long time since i buy this... any help appreciated.. thanks

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

This is from memory
First - ensure your device is registered via mydlink  mydlink.com (country/area specific)
Then go to www.dlinkddns.com and use the same login details you used on mydlink
Then set up your chosen DDNS address with IP (I think of NAS)
Log into webgui of NAS - add DDNS details

I presume this assumes that you already have a DDNS account? I tried with my MDL account and could not get in.  :-\
