This post was more of a long term support question. I was planning to buy more cameras (and this technically applies to more that just the DCS-5222L camera), but I did not want to be getting models that would/could not be upgraded (aka end of life). With Apple's decision about QuickTime, what is D-Link's plan B?
For the DCS-5222L, I had always acceptable that Chrome used a different method to connect to the camera and QuickTime was the preferred approach. But, now QuickTime is not a option, what is the cost (quality/bandwidth, etc) of not using QuickTime?
The camera is working fine. I have the camera (version B hardware) running the current 2.13.01 firmware (USA). However, I continue to get messages from the camera web page that Chrome is not support or from Chrome, that the website is trying an unsupported plugin (QuickTime).
