psp wont find wireless router connection

i have a D-Link WBR-1310 Wireless router, i can connect my laptop and ds with it with no problems. but when i try to connect online with my psp, my wireless connection wont show up on my psp. i can find the persons connection that lives near me (i live in an apartment), but i cant find mine. can someone help me? i am currently using firmware 4.00, and my router is the rev d1 version.
