Still im reading this forum and now i can laugh too... 

espicially when they are fixing one by one this weird "your environment/configuration/microsoft fault" issues/bugs/problems in their product firmwares... Not bad after all.

I'm still laughing too (no issues at all). But maybe I'm too much engaged with my work area 

And by the way, I haven't see much of those "your environment/configuration/microsoft fault" fixes in the latest firmwares.

Seriously, it is really good router, and exellent router if you can fix this annoying issues with shareport etc.  Hard to find any rivals to it and i gived it away because of this shareport disconnecting issues. Really need this usb port with my "media center setup" so i dont have to move my external hdd's around all the time.

The problem with shareport is still not solved with this version
I was hoping even if it is not said about it in the changelog, but no.

Also, I don't understand why there is no mention of the problem in the website. It could avoid some customers having this problem (I did the upgrade two weeks after I saw the firmware 1.31 (more than one month ago), and when I saw the problem with Shareport, I have seen the forum (I didn't know that the forum existed before). A simple message in the changelog of the firmware would have avoided me a lot of troubles. Shareport is not working at the moment, so you should talk about it when someone tries to download the 1.31 firmware.

The shareport STILL DOES NOT work properly. the firmware 1.21 worked amazingly great!

so far the latest firmware update, it seems to be fine BUT the shareport. The only way for me to make my shareport work is if I restart the router, (reboot the device). But i have to do that once every two days.. if lucky. All they need to fix now is the shareport. I have no crashes so far... I have the A3 version, 1.32 beta03.. or the latest one. (they keep on making new ones and all sound similar.. but its the most recent one).

By the time the fix it... it will be like a month or two later.

I love the dir-655 when it was the 1.21 firmware.. it was amazing.. now its just bleah.

Well judging by the feedback here 1.32 build 03 is more reliable and stable. Yes shareport still has issues and we're working on hammering those issues out.

Being that 1.31 is the latest official firmware and is not as reliable as 1.32build03 we are going to officially release 1.32build03 to the public so people that aren't aware of the forums can get that code. From this point on we should be able to tackle additional issues in 1.32

So for those of us running Build03, there's no need to flash to the 1.32 that's on the "official" server?

Mainly because mines been running like a champ the past 3 days, so I don't really want to mess with it unless there are actual changes in the released 1.32 build. However DNS Relay still seems broken since once I disabled that, everything has been perfect.

I think that you should at least put a note in the web site telling that people that use Shareport should NOT do the upgrade to version 1.31-1.32 as it is broken.
This could avoid people doing the upgrade if they need shareport (if it had been explained for the firmware 1.3x, I would still be in 1.2x version.

Hello,

Ok so i have the latest firmware update... and it lasted me roughly 6 days until the first reboot.

I logged onto my router, and on the status connection time, it was 0 days, 3 hours, blah blah blah.

So i guess i can say that 1.32 is a lot more stable than 1.31 but it is NOT as stable as 1.21

and of course, shareport still has the same issue, it tries to connect, but then goes back to "available"


hopefully a new firmware (most likely beta) will come out soon? other then that, anyone who has 1.31, i highly recommend an update to 1.32. Who ever has firmware 1.21, DO NOT UPGRADE

Same here, my router appears to reboot itself after a few days as well, it doesn't hang or anything, but its annoying when your trying to work / play games when the router suddenly decides to reboot itself!

Unlikely its the firmware, Ive got 2 the same ever since updating to the newest firmware it reboots after a few days both of them...

the router isnt defective. I've had this router for over a year and when i had the firmware 1.21, it just kept on going. (more than 19 days). From my view, I think it is the firmware thats causing the resets. The router isnt defective.

30 days after updating to this firmware, the Securespot ad pops up.  I have Securespot disabled.  Resetting the router didn't help.  I may have a work around though.  I enable Securespot, save the settings, disable Securespot, save the settings.  Then I can get by the Securespot add.

I would like to see firmware without Securespot, or at least the blocker ad.

Also, this router started out great, but now I have to power it down weekly.  I can't even access the router logon page until I do.  I was hoping this firmware update would improve things, but it hasn't.

Came here to see how its going with shareport and securespot... Nothing new here i see. 
Im running fine with usb hdd here (non d-link router). Not as fast as dir-655 was, but who cares when it works like it should...
Hope d-link can fix this issues in some day.
