Can't transfer files using Windows 10
« on: September 12, 2016, 12:10:16 PM »

Hi

I'm having problems copying files from Windows to NAS since a few days ago

I have two volumes

Volume_1 -> WD 6 TB
Volume_2 -> WD 3 TB

I have no raid

When I try to copy files (copy and paste) 0% Progress and after a short time I get an error "Error accesing \\NAS\Volume_1"

Please, help me

Any chance you can test with a Windows 7 PC and see?
Disable any PC security software temporarily and test...

I was transfering files between ( Laptop or PC ) and Nas but a few days ago It started to fail

Is there an app to transfer files between them? Because Quixplorer and ElFInder can't transfer large files (10gb)

It sounds as if you have hit a bug in the windows implementation of the CIFS/SMB protocol and/or the way win 10 sees free disk space on non windows formatted disks.

Something you could try.
Activate the FTP server on the DNS and attach it with read/write to the user you have for CIFS/SMB.
Download a copy of FileZilla (an FTP client), install it and then connect to the DNS using the IP address, username and password.  Then use that to transfer the files from your computer to the NAS.

If FTP works use that until the next beta update of win 10 is applied to your computers.

Filezilla works fine but it's slower

I got 1 mb/s transfer rate while copying/pasting with windows 28mb/s

The fact that FileZilla works shows that the problem is a windows10 problem and not a DNS-320L problem.

We would, and do, fix that problem by removing win10 and either installing win7 or Linux Mint depending on the customers needs.  You have the same choice or you can wait and hope that MS comes up with a fix for the problem.

I will try to use a Windows 7 laptop

Is there any program or dlink app to copy large files? Elfinder or quixplorer can't
