Hi,

I am on my 2nd RMA replacement after the original went kaput. The 2 RMA units only had 2 of the 4 ports running data at 1Gbps. The other ports were either 100 or 10 (seriously). All of my cabling and cards are gigabit compliant and when I shuffle the connections around, the PCs that had the slow connections are full speed and the full speed ones drop to 100 or 10. I am having fits trying to get their phone technicians to understand the problem and my warranty is down to a few more weeks.

We've looked at the NIC Card settings including forcing the Link speed to 1000mbps, which usually results in the cable not connected message. We've change port speed to 1000 Only in the advanced router settings.

The original router ran all 4 ports at full capacity. I miss it. :-(

Any suggestions for things to try or magic words to get the phone techs to cooperate?

Router firmware is currently 1.31NA, though issue has been encountered on 1.20 and 1.21.

Question on how you are testing.

Are you leaving everything the same apart from plugging the cable from say port 1 into port 3 and then testing the speed?
