THis has been an ongoing issue with this camera since I got it. Tech support got recording working once years ago. THen a new firmware made it stop and I gave up on it. THen the last firmware I noticed it started working again. I was very pleased. I recently switched to a new ISP so I needed to move all the cameras to the new router. Since doing that the recording no longer works on this camera. I have a 5222L A model and it works perfectly. Is there so good detailed instructions to get this working again?

• What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
• Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.

What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?

• Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
• Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner to find out. How many?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.52 or .22  DHCP

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com

Its the B1 version. Like I said it was working till yesterday when I switched it to a new router. Is there some folders I need to create on the SD card to get it started? I recall it was a ordeal to get it working originally.. Unlike my A version that can be enabled right from the browser menu.

Also it shows up on my Dlink app and everything works from there except for some reason the motion recording has stopped. I would have the latest firmware. 2.14 it says at the top. Is there a guide to creating the folders and configuring the camera for motion recording to SD card? I know I had a copy years ago.

Problem solved. I inserted a new SD card and formated it and presto chango the required folders were there. I tweaked the settings a bit and its working now.
