Yeah I'm out of ideas at this point...

Other than swapping working cams w/ this one and observing further results...

It sounds like something is going on with this area for whatever reason...

That's what I think I am going to do......
This time, I'll buy the service plan with my new camera!

I wonder if  a near by motion sensor light or gutter heating cable would influence the camera, even though it is hard wired?

Oh, no, I see another one of my cameras is acting up, now.  The one that was in this problem area!

If I figure out the problem, I'll post it, just so you know.   Thanks for your help!!

Still no success, the camera failed outside.  It only works in the house.  So, I sent in a request for service/replacement.
Another camera is doing the same thing at my office.

You might phone connect D-Link support and ask for higher level escalated support and see if you an talk to someone about this issue. seems like the cameras are not working well out side however they do inside a building.

I know this will sound bad.  But, compared to the last time I spoke with them, you guys are smarter!   I am going to return this camera under the warranty, along with another one, or two.

I will.  This camera, is only 4 months old, it replaced the 1st problem camera.   I have 7 of these cameras set up with the same PoE injector, network switches, and network, at two locations (I shoot a signal to my office, from my house) and I am getting close to a 50% failure rate!   I have 21 other D-Link cameras which are working ok.  I also have a DCS-942L (an indoor camera) with similar problems.

Yes, I sent it back for replacement.  They sent me a refurbished unit that was worse!!!   Now, I am waiting for another replacement.

Can you test the 2310L with out using a POE injector to see if you find a difference in behavior?

I tried with and without the PoE injector.  No success either way.  This was in the comfort of my house.

I have an older camera with the same problem, but it works with the power supply, until the temperature goes below 20 degrees, then it stops working, until I restart it.  This one is past the warranty period, so I can't return it.   :(

Let us know how the next replacement goes. This may need some higher level support.

I will.

I talked to tech support each time I have a problem.  No one says this is a common problem with this camera.  But I've had 4 out of 7 cameras with problems!  None of my other models have had problems.
