Cannot connect to a website.
« on: July 20, 2009, 07:31:48 PM »

Even befor the 1.31 release I could not access "www.mwave.com". I always used them but since switched to newegg. That is the only site that I know of that I've had connection issues. Browser just times out.

I was trying to figure out what has changed with my config. or maybe my ISP (RoadRunner).

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Did you try whether you computer can resolve the address to 206.111.48.22 ?
Any other machine in your net can open the website ?

Try a telnet on port 80 to this IP.

telnet 206.111.48.22 80

Press 2 or three times enter, you should receive an answer:
Code: [Select]

HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0
Date: Tue, 21 Jul 2009 04:29:24 GMT
Content-Type: text/html
Content-Length: 87

<html><head><title>Error</title></head><body>The parameter is incorrect. </body>
</html>

C:\Users\Lizzi> verloren.

No problem here to open the web site through DIR-655 with 1.32 firmware.

4 other desktops and one laptop could not access "Mwave.com".
I never dealt with telnet befor and from what I gather it's kinda like an ftp client. I did try (start-->run-->telnet 206.111.48.22 80) Nod32 popped up and I allowed it to try to connect, nothing!

I'm able to connect from a different location with the labtop, which is really bugging me.
I'm going to clear my logs and see if I have some ports blocking happening.

update:

[INFO] Tue Jul 21 08:14:38 2009 Blocked incoming TCP connection request from 221.192.199.41:12200 to 24.95.90.66:8085

how do I get past the blocking?

The blocked address is from China, I don't think you want it to connect.
