I did reset by reset button on my ISP provided DSL-2750U D1 for configuration change. Now after resetting my device is not accepting its default password for wifi connection. Neither its web gui accessible by default password for login. Only it's accessible by WPS on my android device but there again its not accessible for web gui login by default login parameters.

Please provide me the assistance in this regard. Thank you D-Link in advance.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your modem? Look at the sticker under modem.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Try another reset and this time use a wired LAN cable PC connected to the router and use IE11 or FF browser, clear the browser cache before logging into the modems UI. Confirm the default factory log in the user manual for this information. You should be able to log in to the UI after a reset and then configure the wireless SSID name and PW for something new.

Is the PC getting a IP address when it's LAN wire connected to the back of the modem? You can do a IPCONFIG /ALL from a command line box and see if it's getting an IP address and showing the Gateway IP address.

Be sure that the PC is using a Dynamic or Obtain IP address automatically when connected to the modem. Not a static.

Dear FurryNutz, i am grateful to you for your kind assistance.
Syncing to matter, yes it is showing and connected with same 192.168.10.1 for IPV4, DHCP & Defualt Gateway.
In my opinion it might be some firmware bug who rewrote the MAC ID. How can I speculate this? Well i am observing that the last 8 digits are comprising the default wifi password of DSL-2750U, if the back label is correct, and it was before reset. Now the web UI address is same 192.168.10.1 but default password for admin login has been changed. Likewise the wifi password.
Now would you please guide me through the procedure of how to know thw default MAC ID of connected device? This way i can surely find my default password back. Although it has been surely changed.

If you have done the factory reset correctly, the default IP address of the modem should be 192.168.1.1 not 10.1: Page 18
http://www.dlinkmea.com/partner/media/product_item_downloadables/9146-DSL-2750U_C1_Manual_v1.00%28ET%29.pdf

Page 17 gives you steps to do a factory reset and default user name and password:
Factory Reset Button
The Router may be reset to the original factory default settings by using a ballpoint or paperclip to gently push down the reset button in the following sequence:
1. Press and hold the reset button while the device is powered off.
2. Turn on the power.
3. Wait for 10 seconds and then release the reset button.
Remember that this will wipe out any settings stored in flash memory including user account information and LAN IP settings. The device settings will be restored to the factory default IP address 192.168.1.1 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, the default management Username is “admin” and the default Password is “admin.”

I would follow these steps. Ensure that your wired LAN PC is set for auto obtain IP addressing in it's networking configuration. Don't use any static IP addresses there. Ensure ALL other devices are disconnected from the modem. Once you do a reset, you should be able to log into the modems UI at 192.168.1.1 then set up a new wireless SSID name and give a new PW.

Dear FurryNutz, thank you very much for your detailed reply.
First of all, my modem is not C1 revision. Its D1 if the back label is not modified for customization under order from ISP. Same model DSL-2750U with revision J1 is sold by the same ISP. Mine is PTCL DSL-2750U hardware revision D1. On the label default login address is mentioned as 192.168.10.1 and precisely its not 192.168.1.1.
Second if i reset it by your method then it goes in crash recovery mode after 5 seconds. By pressing reset button getting power on. To reset it simply i have to press reset button for four seconds while the modem is powered on.

Now please assist me in right line of action.

This modem may have come from the ISP in which they have put on there own FW code which differs from D-Links OEM FW. DSL ISP providers sometimes use D-Links HW and use there own FW and support and develop it. D-Link does not support or develop for this particular modem in these cases. D-Link does not have Rev D modem model. I recommend that you phone contact your ISP and have them help you with this.

Good Luck.
