ok - updated to new firmware 202na, then a hard reset, then reconfig from scratch.
a) DHCP reservation list is now available
b) However, some IP's listed in the Reservation list are "re-listed" in the DHCP reservation list. But only 2 of the 8 connected devices. (one wired, one wireless). Could you let me know if this is normal?
c) DSL connection, with my DGL-4300, I could see in the "basic-networking" section that this is a "router" connection, not a bridge connection. (I could select a choice.) But I couldn't find this in the 825. I didn't understand your question about the IP address. To addess the modem directly from my PC it's 192.168.1.1. Could you tell me how else I can determine bridge vs router mode?
d) Usually, my windows home server needs to be able to config the router for port forwarding HTTP, HTTPs, and Remote desktop proxy. I think it tries to do this with the UPNP. But the router doesn't accept these values. THe fields are always blank. So, I updated it myself in the virtual server section, ...and it works. Could you verify this for me?
e) during the manual setup of virtual server, I tried the pulled down menu to list the available computers. Only 2 of the 8 were listed. (This were the same 2 that were listed in the DHCP from item "b" above.)
