Settings for Camera
« on: February 20, 2017, 10:51:43 AM »

Is there an option or way to turn of the Led light on the front and also the infrared? these are all basic options i had on my other dlink cameras and would like to turn them off on the OMNA and i don't see anyway to do it with this really basic app.  It was a breeze to setup but where are the advanced features?

I don't see a user manual listed here yet :(

Are you able to log in directly to the device through a Web browser?

Let us know if you can access the cameras UI using IE11 or FF using the IP address the camera gets from the main host router...

Hello eastpointvet,

At this time there is no way to turn off the LED or the IR. Also there is no web interface like other D-Link cameras.

There are a few features such as the one you brought up, that have made it to the engineers but there isn't a time table of their release yet. Sorry to recommend such a sketchy solution but maybe a piece of electric tape til then  :-[

yEa well I just cover up the 2 infrared lights, it did nothing, however they designed this, the 2 infrared lights somehow circle the entire lens where even covering the 2 ir lights completely, the red still sorrounds entire lens

If you need the IR to be OFF, you might try a different model D-Link camera. They do have LED ON and OFF features.

So far there is no GUI, some models like the baby cam DCS-820L, you have to type http://[IP Address]/eng/liveView.cgi, the OMNA camera you can only access the video stream like this http://[IP Address]/video/mjpg.cgi, user name is admin, password is the number of the back of the camera

I believe any access is gain by using a Apple TV or other Apple supported devices.
I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
