Hey guys! I don't know if this is a weird question. I always have my friends come to my home and use my WiFi network. Most of them just use it to browse or access facebook in mobiles. There is one of them, a tech savvy kind of person who access something called dark web. At first, I didn't give much thought about it, but later I read about it in this article about Dark Web and realized that it can be used for really bad illegal purposes. I talked to him and said that he does nothing illegal and just access it for academic purpose. Anyway, I am not comfortable with it and would like to block it in my network. I checked the settings and couldn't find any settings related to it or honestly couldn't identify what to block in the settings. Can anyone help me block it?

There any ports that is used by this or completely random ?
Maybe a ddns service maybe needed.

To be honest, I am not sure about the details. I am guessing it might be random.
I am fine with him accessing normal Internet, just don't want him or anyone else access the Dark web thing.

Do search on how to block dark web.

If anything DDNS service maybe needed.
Ask him to stop using it while hes on your network.

• What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
• Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
• What region are you located?

Is your friend using Tor I presume?

hAHAHAHAHA  Yea RIGHT, and I only buy naughty magazines to read the articles. IMO the best way to get them to stop is to ask them. If they are more tech knowledgeable than you, then you don't want to start a escalating of arms as you block, and they get around the block, so you block some more, etc. You shouldn't have to handicap your network just to stop one user that you are being nice enough to allow to use your network. If he gives you trouble, just change the password on the network. If he gets around that, then simply don't allow him in the house anymore.

Ya always claim an excuse and wouldn't tell the truth to his friend that's allowing him access. Academic, ya right! There's no need for Tor when doing real academic work. 

He can see if the DDNS services can help fend off deep web if he chooses to let him continue to use his internet resources, if not, then ask not to use it while visiting and if not, block the device or not allow it. They can use there own internet services for there needs. He should respect his friends concerns.

I have already asked him to stop and he agreed. I want to block it just in case if someone else wants to give a try. He is definitely more knowledgeable than me, but if he says he won't I know he won't.
