USB-to-Serial Port Adapter Problem
« on: July 22, 2009, 08:03:27 AM »

When i plug in the USB-to-Serial Port Adapter, all the network port LEDs on the router would start to flash continuously, and the network connection will also turn on and off repeatedly. I put in a powered USB hub but the problem still persists.  This happen for firmware version 1.21 and 1.32.  My hardware version is A3, and the USB-to-Serial Port Adapter is prolific chipset.

Anyone has experienced this? Or is there other brand of USB-to-Serial Port Adapter that is compatible with this router?

My best guess is that an USB-to-Serial Port Adapter is not supported. There are quite a lot of USB-to-... converters around I can show you that will not work on any router with USB feature.
