When I log into my DCS-5020L through the internet (not on my home network), it says that i need to install Java. But java is already installed.

It works when I used my mobile phone to view.

Before I upgraded my Firefox to v51/52, it says that I have an aplug.jar error. Now it just says that I need to install Java.

Operating System: Windows 10.
Browser: Firefox v52, Chrome

BTW, my DCS-5222L works perfectly with the same desktop computer and settings.

Doesn't work on IE11 / Chrome / FF 48,49,50,51,52. Did some searching....it seems like a problem with Java?

I don't have this model camera. So far IE11 works for me on my 933L, 936L and 960L in windows 10x64.

Possible configuration issue or PC issue.
Do you have another PC or laptop to test with?

This won't help tohjd directly. but -- I stopped wanting Java anywhere near my computers a long time ago.  I'll still use the admin pages when I need to make configuration changes to the camera, but for video I use a smartphone app.  There are loads of them that will connect to these cameras just fine.

(Acknowledged that this approach means no changes to motion and sound detection configs.  OK for me since I don't use my 5020L that way, and in fact I'm pretty sure the mic failed on my camera a while back anyway.)
