Lite app is the mobile device application for mobile devices to monitor Cameras and Routers
Home is for Home supporting devices on mobile devices. Like all the sensors that D-Link has.

I am asking what is the diff between the paid MDL app and the free MDL app (aka MDL lite).

The paid mydlink + app is designed especially for tablets only.
Lite is for connections on cell services with cell phones. Can be used on tablets.

AFAIK - the + allows 4 cams on the screen like the dnr-202l app.  And it's a few versions behind at times for updates... so there might be compatibility issues, etc.

I only have the regular mydlink lite app.
