I have a Wii also that I connect using WPA2.  My laptop, PS3, and Wii connect, but my DS will not.  I am trying to use WEP for the DS.  If I remove all security, the DS still will not connect but everything else is fine.

I have the same problem also as stated in the prev posts.  Changed around the configurations for about 8hrs. I have DIR-825 B1 firm vr. 2.02NA.  Hope D-link or someone figures something out soon!  I am probibly just going to return my unit and buy a Netgear that is what this one replaced due to a lightning strike! One plus is my internet with the labtop and desktop is super fast but if the XBOX does not work the router is not doing me any good!

Update: Called D-link support talked to some guy he ran through my router settings with me changed a few things witch I had already done a few days prior, then told me it was a problem with the Xbox!  I called Xbox support line they went through many different options some of witch where the same as the D-link support guy told me, but after about another half day waisted trying to get the Xbox to work they told me it was a problem with the router. Go figure!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this router yesterday.  I have been attempting to get my xbox 360 with microsoft wireless adapter to communicate with the dir-825.  This is a serious issue.  I bought this router because it said it was certified for vista, meaning it has been tested for xbox live (look it up).  I can connect to both my computers with 802.11g no problems.  I want to run in wireless 802.11a on the 5GHz band to use Windows Media Center to its fullest on the 360.  What is the point of a wireless gaming router that can't communicate with the most populated online gaming systems.

I called microsoft who were very helpful and I tried everthing that they told me to do.  All of which was done again later with a DLink specialist (got him after two failed attempts with other Dlink reps).  I am now waiting until tomorrow where I can talk to someone else about this issue.  I am not terrible with computers as I am an Engineer.  Dlink needs to accept there is a problem and fix it quickly.  Port Forwarding, Virtual Servers, Turning off all the capabilities of the router including 5GHz and inputting the MAC address of the 360 adapter are not workign for anyone.  The 2.02NA firmware does not fix this problem.

Please fix this, I want my xbox to see my computers and connect to the internet like all my inferior routers can.

A better option: return/sell your official xbox wireless adapter you paid $99 for and get Dlink's 1522 wireless bridge that will allow you to connect the 360 at N speeds.

I paid less for the 1522 than I did for that over priced joke MS calls a wireless adapter.

Could someone from DLink please acknowledge this issue, and give some kind of indication when it will be fixed?

I can't get it to work either.  Have anybody figured out what the problem is.
I remember when I had my old router, I had some problems with the xbox adapter.  I was able to get it to work after a while though.

Having the same problem here.
This is ridiculous, I bet not even the people at DLINK know how to get this done.  :-[

Guys,

I highly doubt that DLINK is aware of this or has an answer.  I've had two 825 routers and still can't connect to the internet.  This morning, their help desk guy told me to take it back for a refund.

If they're saying that...then you know they're aware of some major issues.

Bump...
Aside from this bump:

So far with our testing we were able to connect wirelessly:
PS3
Wii
Laptops (Intel 4965ABG working for me)

Devices that we're NOT ABLE to connect:
Xbox 360's with the official Microsoft adapter
PSP (At least not the 2000 series)
Nintendo DS / DSi

Would anyone like to add to this list?  I'm sure it's some simple code that can fix this with specific devices not being able to connect.
I don't remember if the 2.00NA worked well or not with wireless gaming devices; regardless I wasn't using that 2.00NA junk because with it, WIRED devices blew the router up.

I do not mind beta testing.  Tech Engineer please respond on status? Thank you

I have the same problem with my DIR-825 + Xbox 360.

Would be great if there was some type of solution to this. I don't see why I should have to go and buy a DAP-1522 to make something work that cost more then most of the other routers out there. The Xbox 360 works fine with the WRT54G. I still have that on because I have an Airport Express which runs in WDS mode and this DIR-825 doesn't support WDS at least not yet (until DD-WRT releases software for it that would enable it to run)

On July 29th, I wrote a personal message to Ru-Fi-Oh and Lycan.  Below is my message and their response.  (You can see that they know.  Since this Post has been hit over 2000 times, ...IT MUST BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM.  ...like the VOIP with SIP, ..like DNS Relay.)

I've tried to be patient, ...and now I'm back to my old DGL-4300.  (I've had my DIR-825 for 3 months without being resolved for this XBOX issue!)

Ru-Fi-Oh, Lycan,

Any news on the xbox360 wireless connection?  (DIR-825 - B1 - 2.02NA)
I see that someone else is having the same issue.
Would you like me to start a 2nd thread of this post? (since my 1st issues are resolved with 2.02NA)

Yeah please start a public thread so others can see it as well. Be as detailed as possible with yuor set up. It's better if issues are made public so we have proof to show of any failures and other users can comment as well.

I was checking the other router's forums for D-Link.  I don't have a lot of confidence that they are working on the 825 right now because it looks like they are working specifically on the 855.

I hope that what ever they learn on the 855 is quick to replicate onto a 825.

I just bought the 825 REV B1 router yesterday.. got it for $75 new @ Best Buy. Unfortunately, I have been struck with this issue too and it's not as simple as moving my router since I have two Xbox's. I don't want to buy the wireless bridge either. Have the 2.02NA firmware loaded.

D-Link: What is your response? I think we deserve to know whether a fix is in the works and when it should be available.

Hi, I can't say I've noticed the same and FYI the first link you provided is from the year of 2008!  :P
And - if I'm not totally lost - when it comes to the 2nd link I think I've seen similar posts concernig other routers than 855 too.
