Author Topic: Help setting up my wireless network with 2 DAP-2553's and a DIR-825  (Read 4107 times)

Currently have a DIR-825 and needed some extra range/distance. Purchased 2 DAP-2553's thinking I could use them as repeaters to push the signal further. It seems according to the Quick start guide that the first DAP needs to be connected to the Router via ethernet and D-Link tech support also advised this.

Is it possible to not have either of the DAP's hard wired into the DIR-825 ? If so, which mode would they need to be used in ? The only thing this set-up requires is for internet access, no file sharing or anything like that. Everything is currently working but wondering if I'm wasting a DAP-2553 by having it hard wired into my DIR-825 (side by side) when it could be used to further spread the wi-fi signal to other areas.

Any help would be much appreciated.
