we recently got a dir-615 router, and we ran into some wireless issues. from what i've read on the posts, the wireless capabilities on this router are really messed up. is there a solution for the wireless problem, or is it better to jump ship?
so, here's my specific problem
DIR-615 rev c1 firmware 3.11NA
internet: broadband cable, ISP: comcast, dynamic ip
wireless: 802.11 mix g,n, channel width: 20/40 auto
security: wpa-personal, auto(wpa/wpa2), cipher: aes
dhcp enabled, ip range 192.168.1.2-199.
when a computer connects, it either gets no ip lease, or gets one that expires in the 1930's or so.

N-wireless desktop xp pro x32 (ie, chrome) (with xbox360 tether, if important)
N-wireless laptop vista home pre x32 (ie)

G-wireless desktop xp pro x32 (ie, ff, chrome)
G-wireless desktop xp pro x32 (ie, ff)
N-wireless desktop xp pro x64 (ie)
N-wireless macbook pro OS10.5 (safari)
iphone (orig)
iphone 3gs
computers (& iphones) either see the network and can't connect to it, or see and can connect but can't access internet. on the router interface, the wireless status displays an ip address of 0.0.0.0 or a regular ip address. if it does, the dhcp lease list displays an expiry date far in the past. on the computers, the wireless adapter either has little/no connection or shows connection but can't get to internet. the ip address is usually 169.x.x.x, and no dns ip is displayed.
if there's any setting you need that i missed, tell me and i'll post it.
i've heard a lot of potential problems out there...firewall, or some setting...
any help, support, tips, leads, solutions, anything would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
