Email alert on port 587
« on: August 09, 2009, 11:41:25 AM »

Anyone know how to change the port number in the email alert to use port 587? My ISP uses this port and doesn't allow anything through port 25 any more. I'm not sure why D-Link doesn't add a port text box in the form to allow us to set the port number? This way we can change it as needed. I've read on the forum that this only seems to work with Gmail accounts. But I don't want to use Gmail and would rather use my ISP. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Mike

Unfortunately it is not a configurable setting.

Any idea if this is going to be in a future firmware update?

The latest 1.08 Beta code has this option.
