I'm new to D-Link and the Mydlink family of programs.
I notice this on both the desk top Mydlink and also the Mydlink Lite App. The program loads instantly, but when I select a camera to view, it takes about 30 seconds for each to appear. Sometimes I'll get a message "Connection timed out" or  "Config Timeout Set Config timeout, Please Try Later (Error 0.70_1_5_E_0_). Not something you want to see on a security camera. This happens on wifi and internet both. I have 4 - DCS-5222L B1 Firmware 2.14.04. I tried another viewer app and the images load instantly on wifi. Is this normal with Mydlink? Should I just return all the cameras and get another brand?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.22 and .23  DHCP

Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com

What wireless modes are you using?
I'm unfamiliar, could you give examples? Sorry, I'm a dummy.

What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
2 are within 10 feet & 2 are within 20 feet with no heavy walls

How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?
Other than the 4 cameras, I have a Garage door opener, iphone & ipad

Whats your ISP Speed UP and Down?
UP 27.15 Mbps, Down 30.50 Mbps

I will try your suggestions tomorrow morning and post back with the results.

Wireless modes are G, N or Mixed B G and N. I recommend trying single N mode.

Security modes are Mixed WPA and WPA2. I recommend trying WPA2 and AES only.

I am using WPA2. From what I can tell, I'm in N mode.
As you suggested, I set up new IP addresses for the cameras & set them as static. Enabled uPnP and Port Forwarding. On Mydlink Lite, the lag is still there, though maybe not as long about 15-20 seconds. Sometimes still times out. Sometimes still get the "Config Timeout" message. I ended up with "Viewer for D-Link IP Cameras" by Van Nguyen. Instant viewing 4 cameras at a time. I will still use Mydlink Lite for the notifications

I just got the cameras 4 days ago when I loaded the software. I've had the issue since the start. I contacted D-Link and their response suggested a browser concern even after I told them I tried Google Chrome, Edge And Internet Explorer 11 with the same results.

Does this happen if you turn OFF all the one camera and see how long it takes?

I presume you are using the ActionTec wireless correct to connect the cameras too?

Tried turning off all but one camera. The video may show up a couple seconds quicker, but still takes a long time. Where the "Viewer for D-Link IP Cameras" by Van Nguyen still displays instantly. And yes I'm using the ActionTec Modem/router for everything.

One suggestion if you can, take one camera to a different location, say friend, family or nieghbor and see if this problem follows. I'm either thinking something with your isp modem/ service or the MDL service.

Do your video feeds show up quickly using Mydlink Lite?  Any time lag? Once they show up, there is a 1-2 second delay, which I feel is normal.

I have 3 different model cameras, both of my 933L and 936L appear with in 2-4 seconds. My 960L takes about 8-10 seconds. Probably use to its higher bandwidth data stream.

I don't think it's a camera concern as the other software loads instantly, so it must be something in the Mydlink software, maybe something in the settings

Something you might submit a support ticket, give the camera numbers and ID numbers and give all your details and see if they can help out. I had to do this once for a camera of mine that wouldn't connect. They fixed it a couple of days later from there side.
