Hello,

In my case I'd like to connect a fiber modem to WAN 1. As theres no connection to mobile networks where the router will be placed, I think of using an external LTE modem as fallback. (For example something like this Zyxel 3301 or similiar https://www.zyxel.com/us/en/support/DownloadLandingSR.shtml?c=us&l=en&kbid=M-02327&md=LTE3301-Q222#searchZyxelTab1 )

So can I use a DSR-1000AC with a LTE router on WAN 2 as fallback? I can enable bridge mode at the LTE router.
If yes, what would be the way to configure the DSR?

• What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
• Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
• What region are you located?

I believe the 1000 series supports dual wan fall back support. I would look over the user manual to check on information about this.

Yes I read the manual and it told me that I can use the 2nd WAN port as fallback.

But what would I write in the config of the 2nd WAN port?

I would ask support if this is something that is supported with and LTE modem service.

Maybe a bit late for the  thread owner ... but I got my router just a few days back.

YES, it works.
Of course you can connect any other WAN access box to this port, because the login to the ISP is already handled by that box and NOT by the DSR-1000.
So, I user WAN1 for vDSL and WAN2 for LTE, currently working in fallback-mode. As soon as I figured out how, I'll use Traffic-management to use LTE for a dedicated virtual LAN.

For LTE there should be another possibility. You can connect a LTE-stick to the USB port. This is then WAN3. The difference is that in this case WAN2 can be setup as DMZ instead.
