SIP will not work, any solutions??
« on: August 15, 2009, 07:42:55 AM »

I have this problem: SIP will not work with this router. Configuring NAT, virtual server, etc., tried for many hours, but it will not work?? The (Siemens S450IP) will connect to the SIP servers, will authenticate, callsetup will go ok, but I cannot get an answer message (this is the C7 name, do not know the SIP equivalent), the called Bnumber picks up, I still hear the ringtone, so for some reason no speech path is created?? Is there anyone who has an idea why, or better have a solution???

Without SIP this (otherwise good router) is only to be used as an accesspoint......

Another thing, putting back my old router (WRT150N, with only port 5060 forwarded), works perfect. So modem etc are not the problem...

(DIR-825, B1, firmware 2.01EU)

Same situation here with Firmware 2.02NA.  Old router works fine, this one doesn't.

I was having no problems at all with my router (B1 2.00EU firmware) Very recently I upgraded my firmware to 2.01EU and all voip stopped. No matter how I tried the settings nothing worked. Re-flashing down to 2.00 was the only way I could get voip to work correctly.

I'm using a Vood 322 as SIP IP-telefonbox.
Works perfectly for my, connected to the DIR-825. No DMZ configuration or manual port opening was necessary.
Only thing I configured was the fix-ip-adress via DHCP-Client settings in the DIR-825.
Then I adjusted the QoS settings to gave the Vood 322 prio 1.

But are you really sure that Vood-322 (and your voip-provider) is using SIP protocol and not another (like IAX) ?

And when you do not adjust QoS prio 1 is it still working ?

There were some other reports from usa that voip worked, but those providers did not user SIP protocol for voip.  SIP seems to work in firmware 2.00 but is broken in 2.01 and up.

I'm sure that they are using SIP.

Never tried it without QoS prio 1 configuration. This where the settings I adjusted directly from the beginning because I also on my DIR-655, which was my previous router, had the Vood-322 on highest prio.

I'm having the problem with SIP based VoiP to Asterisk Server.

My phone will register, but no audio stream.

I think the router is dropping RTP packets.

I had the same problem since I ot this modem. Finally I have some answers... nothing good though. After spending hours with D-Link support (I got to the highest level they have - Product Specialist) I was told the D-Link is aware of the problem in the 2.02NA firmware and it is working on the solution. They were not able to provide me with any dates or even estimates.

I have tested your suggestion, but no luck.  It did not work or changed anything using QoS prio-1.
We have to wait for new firmware I think...
