4100 followed by DGS-2208 Switch
« on: August 17, 2009, 07:59:59 AM »

I need more than the 4 wired LAN ports provided by the 4100 router & am trying to add a DGS-2208 switch at one port of the router. The two do NOT seem to auto sense each other.

What am I doing wrong? This should be possible?

I take it there are NO DLINK people on this DLINK support site at all. Many Many views with ZERO response! Not good! :-\

Its a green switch, that might be the problem. How far apart are they?

About 10' apart (vertical).

In the meantime, the 4100 has been replaced by a DIR-655. Still 3 wired ports & I have not tried the switch with this router yet. I will tomorrow.
