Hi
I've scoured the Internet and these forums and have found similar questions but no solution that works for me. I've got a DNS-320 with Volume_1 being the only volume in RAID 1. Total Hard Drive Capacity is 1831.3 GB and used space is reporting as 1822.2 GB with 9.1 GB of unused space. In Windows 10, I'm using Tree Size to show me the size of all folders and the total is showing as 1.4 TB which is about what I would expect. However, the Volume in Windows is reporting the same as in D-Link System Info with a red bar showing me there's hardly any space left.
Having read other posts, I've deleted any files in the .recycle folder in the root of Volume_1 and anywhere I've found a $RECYCLE.BIN folder I've also deleted all the files. I've also gone through each share in ShareCenter and disabled the recycle bin. I've also deleted all users so that there can be no recycle bins for separate users.
Problem is that I can't get down to this 1.4 TB that it should be. Where are these 400 Gb of files hiding and how do I get rid of them? It's driving me bonkers because I can't work this out. Oh, I've also checked that I'm able to view hidden files and I can.
Thanks, Paul
