Recording has stopped
« on: August 19, 2018, 08:16:29 AM »

My camera stopped recording a few days ago.  I can't delete any of the current files and I cannot format the disk.  I thought I was able to delete the files once and it looked like they were all gone, but when I starting recording again, file names appeared garbled and went I went out and back into SD Management, the original files structure was back!  This was after formatting the drive.  Its quite unreal the problems I've had with this camera.
I' ve had the camera less than a year... any chance I can get return it?

The problem may be the microSD card, not the camera.  I took the card out and put it in my computer and could do nothing with it.  Format failed.  Is it common for a microSD card to go bad so soon (< 1 yr old)?  I did have the camera writing continuously to the card.

Maybe the quality of the SD card.

What kind of card was it?

What Class? What UHS class?

Was is SDHC or SDXC? (or something else)

What size?

Most D-link cameras support Class 10 (older support class 6), SD spec 3.01, UHS-1 only, and up to 128GB,

Links below help with the markings on the card and what they mean.

The card is a SanDisk  Ultra Plus microSD 16 GB.  The markings are U1 A1 and HC 1.
