Cameras are working but are not available on mydlink
« on: March 15, 2019, 08:37:19 AM »

Hi!
I've a lot of dlink cameras, all of them working correctly (i can see them on dviewcam and by direct IP) but on mydlink (app and on a browser) they are showing me a red cross and they're not available.
I've tried to reboot all of them but with no success.
What can i do?

Thanks

This happens when either the cameras are not connected to the Internet or the cameras cannot communicate with the mydlink servers (no internet or issue with mydlink server).

Did you make any changes to your router? Add any new hardware?

Are there any devices between the cameras and the router (ie Pi-hole)?

Are the cameras statically assigned their network settings or DHCP-enabled? Check their DNS server(s).

Do you have any rules on your router that is blocking any incoming and/or outgoing traffic (IP or Ports)?

How long has this issue been happening?

Try rebooting your router, and log out of your mydlink account and back in.

Since the portal and the app are showing them offline, there is some break in communication between the cameras and the mydlink server.

The cameras use the DNS server address so on 1 of the cameras change the DNS server to something else - 4.4.2.2, 8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1, etc and see if that works.

I've tried to reset router. Bingo.
I think that the problem started when my connection, on the last week, was extremely unstable. I was obliged to restart router over and over.
Now everthing is working fine again.
Thanks for your help!
