Problems with mydlink.com portal
« on: March 21, 2019, 03:59:50 AM »

I trying to get remote connection to camera through mydlink.com portal, but it stopped to working couple of weeks ago.
I can log into that service successfully but when trying to go Settings or Live view page it just loading ~5-10 seconds and then go back
page where it suggest to update firmware, and it just stays this kind of loop....Anyone else seen this kind of problem?
For summary I did following steps:

STEP1: Log into mydlink.com portal
STEP2: My device found and it suggest FW update ("Firmware update needed!")
STEP3: Press "Update later" button
STEP4: "Connecting to your device" text on screen
STEP5: Press Settings or Live view tab
==> After this I can see "Connecting to your device" on the screen for ~5-10secs and after that it goes back to STEP2

Like I said this started couple of weeks ago,  before that it worked many years without any major problems. I am pretty sure that this related to maintenance break which happened early March-2019. And I don't want to do FW update, current FW version worked fine for last 3 years.

My device information:
DCS-2132L Rev A (1.05.xx FW)

Tested with following browsers:
IE 11
Firefox ESR 52.0

I recommend you update FW, it's behind. v1.08 is available.

Thanks, after all this was only way to solve this and just hope that it not cause any side effects like with v1.07.

I did the update, and it fixed the problem.
After quick tests, update not caused any regression and all things works as earlier.
Thanks.

Glad it is working. There are times that the mydlink back-end gets an update which can break devices with older firmware (since they have older mydlink client credentials).  if you look at the release notes sometimes you will see they updated the mydlink agent. That is basically the "client software" in the camera.
