AAC 5.1CH audio plays as 2CH on my DSM-750 media player
« on: August 22, 2009, 08:43:29 PM »

hi,
My DSM-750 has no problem reading AC3 audio. it reads all 6 channels. but when it comes to reading AAC audio, reads it as 2CH only. the files are in .mp4 container encoded with h264 video. i tried to convert only the audio to AC3 not changeing the container, but it spits error saying the audio is not compatible with this container. tried coping the video but containing it in an .avi - that didnt work! tried re-encoding the entire video to xvid so i can put it in .avi and have re-encode the audio to ac3, but all the chanels got mixed up, - the center chanel became left, the back became center and so on. i have no idea whats up.

pls help

I would recommend trying a different software for recoding and see if you have the same issues.
