DIR-615 as Access Point Security Issues
« on: August 23, 2009, 01:25:45 PM »

I have a DIR-615 that I reset and followed Manual Instructions for setting up as an Access Point.  This works fine as long as the default SSID of "dlink" is used. Any other says "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network "xxx".  The other problem is that when you go in and try to set the security to WEP or WPA, it just stalls when connecting to the network.  I can go back in and set it to no protection and it works fine. Is there some setting that I am missing or is this just a faulty unit?  Any insight is greatly appreciated!

It is a DIR-615 - HW is B2 and FW is 2.25

Try turning off IEEE 802.1x authentication; right click on wireless network connection, open properties, look for the list of wireless networks on the second tab, select the Dlink, select properties... you'll find the checkbox on the second tab.
