Suggestion for D-Link and their DGL-4500

Give the users a way to revert to pre-1.20 firmware. There is always a way to go back to firmware even if there is a major change that is preventing to do so presently. Release a patch, a flashing tool, a "jerry-rig" instruction set, or something just to get the customers happy until you fix 1.20+ firmware. This is probably the fastest, most cost effective thing you can do to make the customers, that you still have for the time being, happy.

Like most others, I was proud of prior D-Link products, and the DGL-4500(A1) was the best router I had ever owned before the 1.20 firmware. My brother's wireless connection now drops out at least 4 times a day (he is using a DWA-552, which was fine before 1.20). If we are both playing games (I am wired), and someone else decides to stream a video or download a torrent, the router goes into an overload period and reboots. Also there are periods where there is a massive lag cycle, and then the router reboots. Not to mention the shareport won't work for my printer(Lexmark X8350) anymore (shareport was necessary for all computers on my network to use it).

We are now approaching 4 months since the release of the doomsday firmware, and the main issues have not been resolved. I do not care whose fault you think it is (I hear D-Link blaming Ubicom or who the hell ever), stop pointing fingers and just fix it. With users now going to the BBB, FTC, etc. and filing complaints, you have made the situation much worse than it should have been. So please, just do a quick fix to make most of us happy, and so we can remain at pre-1.20 firmware. Let the daring people test out 1.20+ all they want.
