Sorry, but I call bollocks on this. D-Link will drag their feet in fixing an issue on an item that they don't sell or support anymore. Happy to be proven wrong, but that's what I'm expecting. It was a very stupid bug to have in the first place..... as if no one would be using the product after 2019?
But thats ok, maybe they are right. It's the final nail in the coffin for me. Years of buggy firmware updates and devices not operating to their full potential, plus now a stupid bug that means I can not view footage recorded in 2020 has meant that I am decommissioning my D-Link system and getting a proper and reliable security camera setup. It will cost me money, but worth it in the end. And I will be spreading the word far and wide, and ensuring none of my friends make the same mistake in purchasing D-Link products.
