They are very good teams within Price / Quality. But they have some very prominent problems.

I am from Lima Peru, and in some cases the houses are made of reinforced concrete or mesh. Which causes a lot of noise and interference in the range of these antennas. Even so I installed it in homes, supporting me with utp wiring. that way and atarevez de cable I can reach remote areas of there to distribute. But the problem is when there is no facility in remote or complicated areas.

I was looking for ways to be able to wirelessly take the connection to distant places where the utp cable does not reach. For example, the DIR-885L equipment does not solve the problem in complex areas but for example it gives me a little more scope to compare these antennas. But when connecting a node of the covr1203 with utp cable, it does not detect that it is connected with cable and tries and tries to connect wirelessly.

This also happens to me when I connect cover nodes on different switches. It takes a long time to synchronize with the main node or there are times when it is not even synchronized. I have the idea that they have a problem at the discovery level on different computers to which the main node is connected. This has happened to me in router mode and in bridge mode.

Do any of you have the same thing ?, I would not depend on utp cable to connect the nodes to complicated areas (a lot of interference). What equipment could I use? Is there any firmware upgrade for this communication problem that I mentioned?

Older FW didn't support Ethernet connections. It was introduced later on in FW updates. I know mine works.

Unfortunately concrete and metal will cause problems with any wifi or wifi mesh system. So you'll need to Ethernet connect up the remote B points as best as you can and place them accordingly. You may need to place them about 20 feet or maybe a bit more from each other.

What if I have the latest firmware installed.

The ISP is movistar of 20Mb. and as indicated for the wifi concrete and iron is the worst enemy. But the problem is that the slave node of the covr does not detect that it is connected by cable to 885. Do you think it could be a firmware failure?

You need to connect the remote B point to the A point. B point can't be connected to the DIR-885 router.

But I have a question:

If node A (Primary) is configured in bridge mode; Secondary B nodes connected to any switch are seen. Without being connected by cable between them. This causes your network that you already had to exit through these nodes.

So; imagine that we connect a DIR-885 to the network and one of these nodes connect it by cable to this equipment. Node B should have a network ?.

I imagine the answer is yes, right? So why don't you recognize it?

Probably the DIR router is interfering with the communications between the A Point and the remote B point. Communications between A and B points seems to be specific and a requirement for directly connections between A and B points. Switches can be in the middle as they don't or shouldn't interfere with communications and traffic where routers can and do other things.

Does the remote B point get connected correctly if you directly connect the B point to A point?

The only item you may put in between the A and B points is a external LAN Gb switch. Non managed and non green ethernet featured switches are recommended. I use D-Links DSG-105/108 or HPs Pro Curve 1400/1800 series switches. The DIR router will cause problems has it's not probably passing thru the communications correctly between the A and B points.

You would have to place an unmanageable switch of preference. But I'm curious. Why is it that the 885 has problems? In the end it is a switch.

No in the end it's a router. It's probably doing some form of routing even while both are connected.
I see with other Non D-Link mesh systems and there extender points, if both are connected to the router, the remote points don't work correctly or don't appear as connected points with in there mobile apps, soon as I connect them directly to each other or via a non managed switch, they all start working.

You can try this, set the DIR to AP mode if you have another main host router and see if this might help:

I understand Well I have it, the DIR-885L I have configured in AP mode. And at the same time this equipment was connected to the Movistar router wirelessly in Bridge mode.

Nodes 1203 are in bridge mode and communicate with each other. But if I connect a node to 885 this node does not respect the cable and does not get to synchronize. Although the 885 network gives me.

Sounds like even in AP mode the switch on the back of the DIR router is not pass thru and is being routed in someway that the communications between A and B points are not sycning correctly. I would get you a dedicated LAN switch. D-Link DGS 105/108 series will work.
