Dlink DIR 853 Speed Issue with Switch
« on: May 13, 2020, 07:37:22 AM »

Dear all

i have fiber connectivity at my home with speed of 300 Mbps and in between my desktop PC and the router dlink 853, i use dlink switch gigabit DGS-1008A to distribute the net speed over my devises

however when i connect my PC directly to the router i get full speed with 300 Mbps but when i connect the PC to the switch even alone without any other devices i get maximum 98 Mbps

i have made the router speed WAN from auto to 1000 but no different, and i am using Cat6 cables

how can i get full speed using the switch ?

hope to get some advice from you

thank you all

Swap out the switch for a different switch. Try a DGS-105 or 108
