DSL-2740M || Force firmware somehow?
« on: June 03, 2020, 10:58:18 AM »

Well, I bought this Modem Router and, because of its poor interface, I want to update/downgrade to a new firmware that's not India/Telkom related. The thing is that the Update Firmware part is greyed out.

Is there a way to remove the greyed part or force the update somehow? I can't even use the router as an extensor because the interface doesn't even have the bridging configuration folder. (Even tho it has bridge mode)

And, on top of things, it doesn't want to assign an IP in my home but I tested it at another place and it worked perfectly. (Same ISP)

The original D-Link firmware of this Modem Router is so much better and it has tons of options. At least that's what it seems from the videos I've seen.

Thank you for reading!

You can try this, not sure if it will work.
